At Sir John Hunt, The core values of 'Ambition, Endeavour and Respect' run through every facet of College life. We believe that these values cultivate the essential character traits that our students require to be happy and successful in education, in the world of work and in their personal lives.
Every term we run a character education competition in which students accrue points through:
- Weekly 100% attendance
- Weekly punctuality (no lates to school or lessons)
- Positive behaviour demonstrated in school in line with our core values
- Homework completion
- Students will then be ranked on their total points, their rank will determine which tier they finish in.
For our Christmas term rewards, tier 1 students will go to Exeter Christmas market for some Christmas shopping and receive £20 worth of vouchers to spend! Tier 2 students will enjoy a Christmas movie complete with popcorn and snacks at Vue cinema and Tier 3 students will be able to attend the Adrenalin trampoline centre for a whole-venue hire session.
Student scores will reset in the next term, giving everyone an equal chance of getting into the tiers for the trips for the Easter term.
