Year 11 Easter Cake Competition

On Friday, March 28th, and Tuesday, April 1st, Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students got a well-deserved treat to celebrate all their hard work in revision! But of course, there was a fun twist – they still had to keep their minds sharp by quizzing each other with Flash Cards while baking up a storm. But instead of the usual routine, they were transported into the thrilling world of Practical Cooking- and what better way to spice things up than with an Easter-themed cake decorating challenge!

Armed with all the right ingredients and delicious fillings, the students brought their own Easter-themed decorations to bring their cake masterpieces to life. The excitement was palpable as they piped, sprinkled, and perfected their creations.

The competition got seriously heated with Mr Marner stepping in as the judge on Friday. The results were deliciously exciting: Michael stole the show as the overall winner with Max and David earning second and third spots. But hold up, there was one more surprise! Jack wowed everyone with his bold, bright pink cake, earning him the wildcard victory!

What an incredible display of talent, teamwork, and festive spirit - these students definitely baked up something to remember!
