Year 11's receive Sixth Form Conditional Offers!

Following a series of A level and BTEC taster sessions, our Options evening in January and recent mock exam results, our Year 11 students who have chosen to return for Post-16 courses at SJH have started to receive their Sixth Form conditional offer letters.

We have been very impressed with some of the excellent results in the latest round of mock exams and, with just a few weeks remaining until GCSE exams begin, we are excited to begin working with our soon-to-be new Year 12s!

Some Year 11 students are still finalising their courses and deciding their options, but we have been delighted with the number of students choosing to stay on at SJH and with the mature conversations we have had about the most suitable combination of courses and qualifications.

If you have any questions about Sixth Form or would like to discuss your child's options, please contact us using our contact form.

Sixth Form PD sessions

Year 8 students have attended sessions with the Sixth Form team, encouraging them to ask as many questions as they could about what Sixth Form at SJH involves and the pathways open to them in the coming years. These sessions formed part of the Year 8 Personal Development curriculum and were held over in Sixth Form.

The students had an opportunity to get a feel for Sixth Form study sessions, the Sixth Form centre and about the additional freedoms and responsibilities that our Year 12 and 13 students have. These sessions have been a huge success and the Sixth Form team were extremely impressed with the questions that Year 8 came up with and the maturity which they showed.
