Apply for Sixth Form at SJH

The A level courses on offer in Sixth Form in September 2024 are listed below:

- Sociology (with Criminology)

- Spanish

For many students, a combination of our Technical and A level courses will offer the right balance of examinations and coursework and will provide the perfect stepping stone to University, Higher Level Apprenticeships and future employment.  

For example, a students choosing our Combined Pathway might choose A level Sociology, along with an Applied Science and Health & Social Care BTEC course which would set them up very well for future training or careers in Criminology, Forensic Science or other Health Care routes.  

Our Combined Pathway will ensure that students leave Sixth Form with a huge array of options and possibilities, and will allow them to enjoy a broad range of content and skills in their lessons.

Students already at SJH will be supported through the application process which begins in November of Year 11.  A brief summary of the activities we organise to support their decisions:

Year 11 students studying at others schools but applying for SJH Sixth Form will need to complete following application form.

We will then be in contact to arrange a tour of the college and a meeting to help you in choosing your options for September 2024.
