Are you a former student from Sir John Hunt Community Sports College?

As part of our 60th Anniversary Year we’ve teamed up with Future First, who are helping us to reconnect with our former students to involve them in school life, whether they left last year or 60 years ago.

We want our students to hear about all the different things that SJH leavers have gone on to do and to be inspired by the possibilities for their futures. Simply put, we want to show that if you can do it, so can they!

Our aim is to build the confidence of current students by introducing them to our former students.

You can offer this support in a range of ways, from becoming career role models and mentors, to hosting students for work experience or speaking at an event from a small group of people to an assembly; but if you just want to come back for a reunion or simply to keep in touch with what is happening at the college, that’s fine too!

We would like to invite you to sign up to support Sir John Hunt so that we can stay in touch and invite you back to school, in person or to be involved remotely. If you would like to join our Alumni and be part of our former student network, you just need to click the link below. It’ll only take two minutes and once you’re signed up there is no obligation to get involved if you don’t feel able. You will receive occasional updates with school news and opportunities to support the students who now sit where you once sat.

If you know other former Sir John Hunt pupils, please encourage them to get involved by signing up or spreading the word. The more former students we have signed up, the more diverse and vibrant the community will become, providing more interesting ways to benefit current students.

If you have any questions about this project or would like to find out more, please get in touch with Sarah Newberry at the school.
