Mr Holliday
Year 7 Pastoral Leader
I have been teaching in a range of school settings both locally and internationally throughout my 14 year career and I am delighted to be the Pastoral Leader for the Year 7 Cohort. I pride myself on my relationship with both students and Parents/Carers, so please do not hesitate to contact me at the College either by phone or alternatively via email, which can be found on the school website. I believe that fluid correspondence between school and home will help our students to grow into strong independent individuals that make a positive contribution to society as they reach their adulthood. Everything we do at College will be with this end goal at the forefront of our thinking and approach.
Mr Salter
7DESTIVELLE
Hi Year 7, my name is Mr Salter and I am the tutor for 7 Destivelle. I know that starting in secondary school can sometimes be scary, but it is also an exciting time to try different activities and meet new people. This is my fifth time being a Year 7 tutor, so I will be able to support and encourage you to grow in confidence during your time at Sir John Hunt. I am very proud to be part of Destivelle house and I have very high expectations of my tutees, and I know that, as members of 7 Destivelle, you will show good behaviour, manners, enthusiasm and apply yourselves to all your lessons. I am also a Maths teacher, and I look forward to maybe teaching some of you during your maths lessons. Outside of school I have a lot of interests including surfing, climbing and music. I’m excited to meet you all and get to know some of your interests as you start your secondary school adventure. Be safe and i'll see you in September.
Mr Fitzwater
Hello, I am Mr Fitzwater and I am really looking forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to SJH. Beginning secondary school can be a very scary and daunting experience; however, it is also a very exciting and a wonderful experience. I will be ready to help you with all the new routines, expectations and experiences awaiting you here. Together we will start each day with positivity, confidence and enthusiasm! In addition to being a form tutor, I am also an English teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy horse riding and I keep my horses in Wembury. I love reading and I’m really looking forward to sharing my love of reading with you during our morning Tutor Reading Programme.
Mrs Derby
7LOWE
Hello Year 7, my name is Mrs Derby and I am one of the Year 7 tutors. If I am lucky enough to have you in my tutor group, then I know we will all have a great year. I know it can be scary starting a new school, but I will be there every step of the way to guide you, listen to you and help you grow as a confident student and be the best person you can be. As part of 7 Lowe I know you will show good behaviour, kindness to others and an enthusiasm for learning. I have been fortunate enough to have worked in many different roles at Sir John Hunt, but my favourite is what I do now. Not only am I a tutor but I am also a Maths teacher so hopefully I will get to teach some of you too! When I am not at work I enjoy running, going to the beach, reading and being in my garden that has lots of birds, frogs and even 3 hedgehogs! Be good and see you in September.

Miss Bojanitz
7TENZING
Hello, my name is Miss Bojanitz, and I have been a teacher at SJH for a nearly a year now. I am enjoying each and every moment. Everyone is very kind and supportive; you will feel very welcome here. As well as being a tutor, I am an English teacher, and I thoroughly enjoy discovering interesting stories, and exploring creative writing. Every day I come to school enthused to teach young people who are as excited to unlock the true power of English as much as I am. I am looking forward to sharing my love of English with you. In my free time, I love spending time on the water. I am a rower, and I also teach rowing in my holiday time. When I am not on the water, I also love going to the theatre to watch stage plays. Starting secondary school is such an exciting time, and I cannot wait to be a part of your journey.
