On Tuesday, October 22nd, Sir John Hunt CSC hosted a series of assemblies to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its students from the previous academic year, as well as recognising the efforts of our new Year 7's since joining us. Nearly 500 awards were presented across all year groups highlighting the dedication and achievements of our students.
Among the standout recipients, special recognition was given to Ocean, Charlotte W, Ellie M, Riley S, Lacy O, Ruby S, Ollie B and Romana. These students received the coveted Principal's Award for their exemplary dedication to the College and its community.
Mrs Bevan’s message in her keynote address emphasised the significance of our students' incredible journey over their time with us, drawing inspiration from Sir John Hunt's historic expedition to summit Everest over 70 years ago. Our students were reminded that true achievement is about self-improvement and in the words of Sir Edmund Hilary; "It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves".
Congratulations to all award winners for their outstanding accomplishments.
