Events of the Holocaust in WWII

Last term we had a daughter of two Holocaust survivors give a talk about the experiences of her parents.

Year 9 attended a session with guest speaker Noreen, who gave a unique and powerful insight into the events of the Holocaust in World War II. Noreen‘s parents survived the Holocaust but lost her grandparents during the atrocities of the Nazi regime. The students had an insight into the conditions of the ghettos and concentration camps as well as the impact the Holocaust had on people's lives after the event.

Noreen commented on how respectful and thoughtful the Year 9 students were and how carefully they had considered their questions.

A huge thank you to all staff who supported these sessions and to Noreen for joining us for a session which has already prompted some excellent conversations and discussions.
