Key Stage 3 Rounders

Wednesday saw the first round of matches for the new Year 7 and 8 rounders team. We travelled to Notre Dame school to play two matches, in the first we came up against an established Year 8 team from Stoke Damerel CC. Outstanding fielding from both teams and some brilliantly hit rounders made it a close fought battle, with Stoke pipping us to the post and winning by just 1 rounder. In our second game we played Tor Bridge, the girls fought hard but couldn't quite get across the finish line, losing by 1.5 rounders.

The team showed an outstanding level of ambition, team spirit and respect and it was great to see the two year groups working so well together. Our next fixture is on the 18th June so we have time to train hard and turn up ready to fight!
