Music to make you smile! :)

On March 15th, a remarkable charity event, 'Music Fest', lived up to its tagline, 'music to make you smile'. This event witnessed an ensemble of music students from various year groups who performed to raise charity funds. The evening commenced with Year 8 Gabe's rendition of 'Knockin' on Heaven’s door' by Guns and Roses and a duet by Lily and Kelsey performing, 'A Pearl' by Mitski. The Year 10 band featuring Oscar, Row, Caitlyn and Ruby, played ‘Shut Up and Drive' by Rhianna and 'Brazil' by Declan Mckenna, with Ruby and Caitlyn later performing a duet of ‘Falling' by Harry Styles. Sonny was the final student to perform, mesmerizing the audience with the Foo Fighters' 'Everlong'. The stage was then taken over by Sixth Form students Kiera, Blake and Ashleigh who performed hits, 'Everybody wants to rule the world' by Tears for Fears, 'Come Together' by The Beatles and 'Love on the Brain' by Rhianna.

Our heartfelt thanks goes to Mr Cleverley, Mr Truscott and Mr Walker for their instrumental support and to the staff who assisted with ticketing and payments. We also appreciate the students and staff who attended to support the performers. The event raised approximately £70 for charity. Well done and thank you to all of the performers and ticket purchasers for their contributions!
