Sixth Form Learn to Live

On Wednesday 15th November, our Year 12 Sixth Formers had an impactful trip during their recent visit to the Plymouth Crown Plaza for the annual Learn2Live Roadshow. This event proved to be a transformative learning opportunity for our students, shaping their understanding of road safety and responsible decision-making.

One of the powerful moments of the roadshow was hearing from a guest speaker, who courageously shared his personal journey involving poor decisions related to alcohol and driving during his younger years. His candid account provided our students with a firsthand perspective on the far-reaching consequences of irresponsible actions on the road. His story resonated deeply, emphasising the importance of making responsible choices and the potential impact on one's life and the lives of others.

The students were attentive as he recounted his experiences, and this session sparked candid discussions among them about the role of personal responsibility in ensuring road safety. His testimony served as a compelling reminder that the decisions made in our youth can have lasting effects, urging our students to approach driving with a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility.

We are always grateful to the Learn2Live Roadshow organisers for creating a platform where such impactful narratives could be shared. This event has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on our students, reinforcing the importance of making informed and responsible decisions on the road.
