Students showcased their talent in a live charity concert – Music to make you smile :) The Year 12 band kicked off the night with energetic songs. The KS3 Choir performed confidently, whilst Gabe, Alfie, Lexi, Mawgan, and Richie continued to impress with their solos. Our Year 13 band closed the event with high-energy tunes. Special thanks to Mr Cleverley, Mr Walker, and Mr Clayton for their support. The audience's participation made the night special and we're proud of everyone involved.

As the term ends, we celebrate our Character League's success, recognising students for Ambition, Endeavour, and Respect. Points were earned via staff, Golden Tickets, Character Cards, and attendance. Top students enjoy a trip to Twist Board Game Café and a 'Big Movie and Popcorn Afternoon.' We are proud of our students' efforts.

Year 13 students hosted a fantastic night of live music at Livewire as part of their Event Management coursework. Year 12 opened with songs from Lorde, Phoebe Bridgers, and more, while Year 13 headlined with hits by Harry Styles and Bon Jovi. The audience loved it and praised their skills via a Google Survey.

Our Year 8 students shined at the 'First Lego League Challenge' at the National Marine Aquarium. They tackled Robotics Mission tasks, with resilience and creativity. Babcock praised the group for their positive attitude and commitment, recognising just how much they gave to the experience. We are incredibly proud of how our students represented the school.

The girls team advanced to the Devon Cup semi-finals with a strong performance. They pressed high, defended well, and created chances. Charlotte shone in defence, while Myla scored a fantastic goal. Despite tough opposition, they stayed organised and committed. Finishing 5th overall is a great achievement, showcasing their teamwork and resilience.

Year 9 met Maralyn from Generation2 Generation, who shared powerful insights into the Holocaust. Students learned about ghettos, concentration camps, and human kindness during turmoil. Thanks to Maralyn for a session that sparked excellent discussions.

We're thrilled to see your children daily and want to help them overcome any attendance barriers. Our Attendance SWAP SHOP continues, offering treats and prizes, while our raffle rewards perfect attendance. Students attending on their birthday get a chocolate bar and lunch queue pass. Regular attendance ensures better education and success.

Year 8 participated in a Royal Navy workshop, building communication towers for earthquake-hit Plymouth. They excelled in teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Their enthusiasm was outstanding. Well done, Year 8!

Our boys' football teams had a strong Term 4. Year 7 overcame a 4-0 deficit to win against Lipson and secured a 5-0 win against MAP. Year 8 narrowly lost to Ufculme on penalties. Year 9 had a dramatic last-minute win over Coombe Deane. All teams trained hard and aim to improve in Term 5.
